We had a good night out last night. We went to Sheffield to see Peter Gabriel at the Hallam FM Arena, which is very much like a cut-down version of the Manchester Evening News arena. The show wasn't a sell-out but we made enough noise to compensate for the gaps in the audience. Once again it was a fabulous show, performed in the round just like last year, and the guy is clearly a genius. He's playing in Liverpool on my birthday later this month and I'd love to go. I tried to persuade Lou last night after the show but she said no again. Bah! Anyway, we had a nightmare getting out of the place, and eventually got home at about 1:15 AM. Getting up for work at 7 this morning was not a nice experience...
Spent a fair bit of time today working with Peter Labrow on the application for the British Computer Society "Trainer of the Year" award I've been nominated for. The form is a bit of a beast but we've done a good job on it and it should be in the post tomorrow or early next week. Fingers crossed then...
The new P J Harvey album is a proper racket by the way. Some of it is brilliant at first listen, but other tracks are the kind of thing that makes passers by exclaim "what the hell is this?" I'll have to listen to it a few more times, methinks.
Further evidence of Weebl's genius was revealed today and can be seen here. The badgers have returned, but with a twist...
The holiday grows ever closer... Excitement is building...
Bed now. Night night x
