Friday at last!

Well, what a week that was. That really was one of the hardest weeks of training I've ever had to do, but it all came out right in the end, with good eval scores.

The journey home was a nightmare though. The train was at 13:58 but wasn't called until about 14:15. I found my seat, put some music on (new albums by Ash, Keane and Morrissey - Ash was ok, but Keane and Moz were fabulous) and started reading. All went according to plan until just before Stoke-on-Trent, where the train had a "total power failure" so we stood in the middle of nowhere, all the lights and air conditioning off, for about forty minutes. Finally they fixed it, and off we set again, only to stop just before Stockport because of a trespasser on the line, and we finally pulled into Manchester at about 18:15 instead of 16:40 as advertised. Not good...

But there is some good news: I've just been nominated for an award at the British Computer Society - "trainer of the year"!!! Needless to say, I'm grinning like a Cheshire cat at the moment.

Weird aside of the day: I woke up laughing this morning. It really is the strangest feeling, and I've no idea what I'd been dreaming about which made it happen. Very odd.

It's nice to be home :-)
