Happy birthday to me, happy birthday to me...

33 today :-) Spent the day in work but it's been a good week so far. Seven people have passed CRM exams taken at work, and that felt nice.

Had to spend last Friday down in Hinckley setting up their courses as there was nobody from there available due to working elsewhere, leave, sickness etc. It was a long day, up at 4:50, home at about 8... Off to Washington next week as well, running CRM courses up there. It's the first time we've done them at that office, so it should be an experience!

Busy messing about with the "Heidi" scripts at the moment, re-typing them and adding annotations, and it's surprised me how weak they were up until "Heidi 8" which was the first of the good ones. I'm enjoying seeing them again though, and hopefully this will end up with me writing the very last one, which has been on the cards for about ten years now. One day...

I'm currently enjoying a deluge of books from my favourite authors! At the moment I'm reading the new one by the brilliant Dan Rhodes, who for some reason has released his new one under the alias of Danuta de Rhodes. It's called "The Little White Car" and so far it is highly enjoyable. I've got the latest Christopher Fowler book, "Breathe", on order from the publisher as well (Amazon said it would take 4-6 weeks to find, and even then they might not succeed. The publisher, on the other hand, had it in stock and ready for dispatch!) It's supposed to be a novella, but his stuff is always excellent. And finally, probably the best writer in Britain today, Glen Duncan, releases his new book, "The Death of an Ordinary Man" next week. Woo! Oh, and I did order that mega Prince book in the end :-) It is due to arrive any day now...

Finally, go out and buy all the re-issues by Tindersticks. I had their first album on to keep me company as I drove to Hinckley last Friday and it blew me away again, just like it always does.

Off for a birthday meal now at the Italian Job :-) Bye for now.
