My new addiction

I'm currently driving myself insane with Google Earth - could this be the best piece of software ever? Better still, it is completely free, and this makes it even more fantastic. Hours of fun to be had, starting off with finding home, then work, and then spying on pretty much everywhere, whiling away the hours finding sunken ships, Area 51, missile silos and all kinds of weird stuff. Brilliant :-)

No confirmed word as yet on my leaving date / start date at Remarc, but I'm working on it. Xpertise cleared my schedule so I could leave whenever I liked but have since filled it back in again as it looks likely that I'll start with Remarc after we come back from Lindos in mid-September. Ahh, Lindos... Can't wait to go back there, and yes we're counting the days. I'm already thinking about going back next year, and to Stoupa again if possible :-)

Had a nice evening last Monday, meeting up with my old school mate Stephen Bollard. It was the first time we'd met for eighteen years, maybe more, and was a deeply weird experience. We actually drove past each other on the road to the pub and I recognised him straight away. Strange that we change so much, and yet so little. Good to see him, good to chat, and hopefully we'll stay in touch.

Currently reading... yes, "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince." Just started it last night, so I'm only a chapter into it. Also just bought the new Bob Mould album, "Body of Song", which I can't wait to listen to. Needless to say it will be loaded into the MP3 player very soon, along with the Stuart Staples (Tindersticks) solo CD which I've yet to listen to.

That's all for now, apart from the tantalising news that I'm writing again :-) Can't say more just yet though...
