(croak)

I've lost my voice.

Last week I was in Hinckley running 2261 and 2262 (two Windows XP courses) back to back and for the first couple of days I had a really sore throat. By Friday I sounded like Barry White, albeit Barry White a) alive, and b) talking about Windows XP, and after returning home at around 8PM my voice had completely gone. All weekend I've sounded croaky as hell, and I veer from a growl to a squeak within the space of a syllable. Not good.

Stayed in a different hotel to usual - the Weston Hall hotel, in a place called Bulkington (or something like that.) From the outside it looked great - a really old mansion house sort of thing, but inside it left a little to be desired. I had to change rooms on arrival, and was moved into one with a four poster bed, leaded windows, and... actually, I wrote a report on it for posting onto our intranet at work. I'll get a copy of it off my laptop and post it on here. The whole story is kind of entertaining.

Oh, and last weekend we saw Dara O'Briain at the Lowry and he was fantastic - haven't laughed so much in ages. We were also supposed to be going to see Embrace, but as I was going away and would be getting up at 4.45 in the morning, we felt we couldn't go. £32 down the drain then :-(
