It came back on Wednesday (16th) after many days of croakiness, and also lulling me into a false sense of security where I'd wake up, say something perfectly well, think "it's back!" and then within about ten minutes it was back to its hissy, crackly self again. A very frustrating week and a bit. Still, I was supposed to be working away this last week and because I couldn't talk, I couldn't train, so I stayed at home and got loads of VB work done. Hurrah! Getting quite into it now, albeit slowly.
Loads going on on the CRM front at the moment. More news on that as things get confirmed, but I've suddenly got a fair few courses popping up in my schedule, which is a very good thing indeed.
Last night we went to see Harry Hill at the Lowry, down at Salford Quays. It was ok, some of it very funny, some of it dragging on a bit, some very predictable indeed. We ended up having front-row seats, which was a first for us, and somewhat surprising seeing as our tickets were for row C in the stalls. As it happens, the layout of the seats is such that the rows are curved, and so our seats were at the end of the row, overlapping the end of row B, which overlapped row A, if you see what I mean. Throughout the show we were petrified that we'd get picked on (a fair number of people did) and with five minutes to spare it was looking good. At this moment, the band on the stage started playing, Harry started singing, a pantomine horse ran onto the stage followed by a man dressed as a badger and another as a ball boy (don't ask) and the latter ran into the audience. He grabbed hold of a few people and sent them onto the stage. Moments later, he grabbed the two of us, said "go and dance with the horse!" and there we were, standing on the stage at the Lowry (the big theatre, no less) in front of a packed house, dancing - badly, and in dad-fashion in my case - with a pantomime horse. Oh dear...
Altrincham this week doing a rare 2071 (querying SQL 2000) then Hinckley for the next two weeks, followed by loads of stuff all over the place. Will this madness ever end? We shall see.
