I really don't know what's wrong with me at the moment. Last week I ran a 2072 (SQL Admin) in Leeds and I really wasn't happy with a single part of my delivery. That's now two weeks on the trot that I've felt my confidence was shot to pieces, and I've felt ropey as hell running a course. What has happened? It's almost as though for some reason I've lost the knack of training, and I'm worried. I really, really hope that "it" comes back soon.
Talking of things coming back, what's this on my schedule for next week? A CRM course? Surely not. This will be my first since my trip to Tooting in June and it's nice to see demand seemingly on the up again (I've also been asked to run at least two more before the end of the year.) Worryingly though I had a cry for help from one of my buddies at Microsoft in Redmond yesterday, asking me to test the course as there are supposedly innumerable problems with the image, so that's my task for today.
This posting, by the way, is being written on my brand spanking new PC, known to the world as Adele (because it is a Dell, geddit?) It arrived just over a week ago and is pretty fabulous, and stunningly fast - even more so since I whacked a 256MB ATI Radeon x600 Pro graphics card in at the end of last week :-) Oh, and it also plays "Roller Coaster Tycoon 3" rather well too... Looking good for "Half Life 2" then...
Writing news... I've decided to merge my next two stories, "Don't Forget..." and "Can't Remember?" into one. On their own they seemed ok but a bit too alike, but together I think they'd work rather well. Still no news on when I plan to write them though, but hopefully it will be before too long.
Finally, I've had my personal development schedule drawn up for the next seven months, taking me to May 2005, and between now and then I'm sitting in on pretty much every Visual Basic .Net course Microsoft offer. Lots of work, but I'm looking forward to doing it.
