Over the years the village hasn't undergone any major changes, but subtle alterations have been made to improve its charm, such as additional floors being removed from buildings in order to return them to their original sizes, music volume being restricted, and so on, and as a result we're deeply in love with the place. There is actually a bar for sale in a prime spot, but at €2.5 million it is a little bit expensive for us - maybe one day "Bar Sparks" will open, playing a soundtrack by the Mael brothers and service Smirnoff Ice and wine. Maybe.
Anyway, a few pictures from the Lindos View hotel where we stayed (as always)...
First off, the view from our room.
Next, the Acropolis of Lindos, taken from the Odysseia Restaurant (one of our favourites there).
Lindos View pool and reception building at around 1AM, taken while a bit drunk and leaning on an ornamental well.
A daft one - this is a delayed exposure photo of the Lindos binman driving through the streets! I just like the shot, basically.
Anyway, in other news, congratulations to my friends Tara and Matt on Tara's pregnancy!
Finally, it has to be said that Microsoft have dropped a clanger with the 8913 (Applications in Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0) course as it is without doubt the worst course I've ever seen in my life. More mistakes than I've ever seen in a single course, and my students absolutely hate me as a result. I'm not having a nice time. Find a happy place... Find a happy place... Lindos would be good.
