For a while now I've been dropping hints of sorts on here, saying things were happening which I couldn't comment on, and the "will this madness ever end?" comment a couple of postings ago. Well, now I've kind of gone public, I can finally say what is happening.
I've handed my notice in. I'm leaving Xpertise.
I'm going to work for a company called Remarc Technologies, which is based in central Manchester. I'll still be training, but will be working between Manchester and Leeds, rather than travelling all over the place, and this means I'll be at home pretty much every night. Truth be told, the travelling has been getting to me in a fairly major way for a while now, culminating in arguments between me and Lou, me having panic attacks, me bursting into tears for no reason while I'm away, and so on. It's been fairly horrible. I really had to do something, and I absolutely love what I do, so going to do the same job elsewhere made a lot of sense. I hope I'm doing the right thing - most people are telling me that I am.
On a slightly different note, I'm writing again!!! It feels great too :-)
Good news on a rather more trivial front: Bob Mould has a new album coming out next month, and he's gone back to the guitar! YES!!!
Final thing to say... I've changed ISP, and this entire site has been migrated. If anybody is reading this, and any problems arise, please let me know. Cheers.
