After suffering from so many headaches I went to the doctor to ask for advice, and was referred to the neurology department at Salford Royal Hospital (formerly Hope). I started to keep a "headache diary" to track how many I actually had, and one week I had twenty headaches in total, some very brief, some more severe. Enough was clearly enough.
So I saw the neurologist last weekend (a nice lady) and after she gave me all kinds of examinations, such as testing my reflexes, she said that she was convinced it was migraine-related, but that I should go for an MRI scan as a precaution. The scan has been booked in for early in April, and if it comes back clear I'll be given some kind of medication to help stop the headaches. If, on the other hand, it isn't clear... Well, I'm trying not to think about that.
In other news, Lou and I are finally getting the house in order and are spending a fortune on having work done, all in one big hit too in order to minimise disruption. It should be great when it is finished. We've also got new neighbours, and they seem nice so far.
