Busy busy busy busy busy

Hello.

Techno-things first... I've migrated my blog to the new Blogger system and it seems reassuringly the same as it was but at the same time mildly shinier. We shall see how it goes.

Massively busy at work at the moment with lots of SQL 2005 ITP courses, including back-to-back 2787 and 2788 courses this week. Last week was a real blast from the past with my first 2262 (supporting users running applications on Windows XP) in about, ooh, eighteen months or so. It seemed to go alright but is still tedious drivel and I was frantically reading the manual each night to prepare for the next day. Still, never mind - only a couple of weeks and then the Christmas wind-down begins, with an easy run-up to the break. Oh, and I also had a lovely return to CRM-ville last week with all four 1-day end-user courses (sales management, service management, service scheduling and marketing automation) run over three days. Hugely enjoyable it was too.

Seen three bazzing concerts of late. A couple of weeks ago we saw Muse at the MEN Arena and they were astonishingly good. Then last week we saw George Michael at the same place. Now I'm not a fan, but his voice was absolutely superb - Lou, needless to say, was screaming like a girlie because, well, she is a girlie. And then on Friday just gone we went to what Lou would describe as "one of Pete's weirdy ones" when we saw Jason Spaceman at the Lowry in my home town of Salford. Backed by a string quartet and a gospel trio he was outstanding, and I nearly cried when he did a medley of "Anything More" and "Ladies and Gentlemen We Are Floating in Space", which had the audience on its feet mid-set. So three fantastic shows, and all candidates for Mr Lee's prestigious "concert of the year" accolade. Watch this space.
