I hate vodka :-(

Hello there.

Well, we had a fab time in Edinburgh, and the Grassmarket branch of "Mammas" is still my favourite restaurant in the world (sorry, "The Italian Job", but as much as I love you I just can't get enough of "Mammas".) We ended up going there twice in three days! As for the rest of the trip, our shopping day started with the intention of us buying lots and lots of clothes, and absolutely no CDs... and Lou ended up buying no clothes at all, and I just got three books and a CD. Oh well. Apart from me being in a funny mood on the Saturday we had a lovely time. As for the concert on the Sunday evening, by the time we got home after an almost five-hour drive, neither of us felt in a concert frame of mind, so we didn't go.

Last week I was in Washington sitting in on my first Visual Basic .Net course. I've been asking to sit on a VB course for the last six years, and it finally arrived. I enjoyed it a lot and although I'm far from competent in it, I now have the confidence to start messing with it a lot more. Oh, and after a Wednesday night out in Newcastle I've vowed never to eat in the "Paradiso" restaurant again (tiny portions and huge prices), and also never to touch a drop of vodka again so long as I live.

This week sees the continuation of my return to the wonderful world of CRM as I'm running my first installation and configuration course since June, and after that I'm doing some course revision work for Microsoft, which I'm really looking forward to. This is shaping up to be a very busy, and extremely interesting, week...
