Back from my travels

Sadly, I'm not in Lindos anymore :-( We had a great time as always, and the place is still as wonderful as ever. Lots of restaurant staff recognised us, this having been our fourth year there in succession, and we managed to get the same apartment we'd had last year - some people might call this sad, but we call it nice. The weather was fantastic in the first week - incredibly hot, not a cloud in the sky, really still - but it went off in the second week, becoming rather windy, especially at night, so Lou was sitting in restaurants with a fleece on! Mind you, she's nesh.

And then on Monday I was down in London for my BCS "Trainer of the Year" presentation. I was hugely nervous before I went in and spent ages walking laps around the block, but once I got into the room and met the five judges I felt a lot better. My presentation slot was 15 minutes and I managed to use up 14 minutes and 50 seconds of it :-) This was followed by fifteen minutes of questions, and at 2:45 I was heading back home. How did it go? I've no idea, but I feel I did my best and I'll find out in just over a month...

Oh, and staying on this theme, I'm being entered for another award too - IT Trainer of the Year, for the Institute of IT Training. More news as it happens...
